Monday Malaise

Had a great weekend with the cousins - Amy, Steve and Biz. They came up on Saturday from NJ - in some not so great weather and through even worse traffic. We had a lot of fun and it was great to see them. Lots of food, laughing and hanging out.
We visited Saratoga, met the most unfriendly and rude waitress, ate some great food, bought Breaking Dawn (more below), lost some money at the Racino, checked out the grave of Uncle Sam, and just had a general great time.

So, now, company gone, I'm bored. :(
(Good thing I have company coming this weekend too..plus a race on Saturday...)

Picked up Breaking Dawn (fourth and final book in the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer, for those you not in the know....you need to get with it....teenage vampires - such good reading) and have been reading that since last night.

Oh, last night...power went out around 8. Apparently a squirrel ate one of the lines (this is speculation but the current theory around the apartment complex) and caught itself on fire, thus catching the pole on fire. Good thing we'd had rain - otherwise the forest outside our apartment could have gone up pretty quickly. So, pole on fire, that was exciting - fire dept. came, NIMO came and cut the pole down around 11:30 (chainsaws at 11:30 = no sleeping) and had power on around 1 am ish. So from about 8:00 on it was candle light in the Salisbury house.

Around 11 I couldn't take reading by candlelight anymore and headed to bed...stayed awake listening to aforementioned chainsaw. Woke up this morning, have been reading all morning (to page 300), but now...kinda sick and bored of sitting around. There is a spin class at 4:30 but I'm not really feeling that either....so...not sure what I'll do for the rest of my time. My pedometer broke...maybe I'll go shopping for a new one...

Back to Breaking Dawn.....it is good so far, not disappointed...After about 15 pages I totally called what was going to happen (I won't spoil it...)....pretty good twist of events...Needless to say I'm really enjoying it (despite all the stuff with Jacob...blah, blah Jacob, blah, blah) but am just stir crazy sitting around.

So...off I go...where, not sure...probably to spin...who am I kidding?

:)
